Marching Madness (12/12) - This is a celebration we have after every marching season. It gives the students a time to have some fun after all the hard work they have done throughout the season. It is similar to a potluck so you can bring food, drinks, and games (make sure they are appropriate). It will be held in the band room on December 12th at 6:00pm- 9:00pm.
Band Uniform Turn In (12/17 and 12/18) - Uniform turn-in is on Wednesday, December 17th and Thursday, December 18th between 1:00pm-3:00pm. Before turning the uniform in, there must be a receipt that shows proof that the uniform was dry cleaned. The entire uniform and bags must be turned in at the same time. Here is the list of items to turn in: shako (including string), coat (sash & cape), pants, collar, shoulder chords, uniform bag, shako bag, shoe bag, and hanger. The only dry-cleaners that you may use is Blue Line Cleaners at 13771 Newport Ave, Ste 5 in Tustin. Their phone number is 714-505-2988. They are only charging $15.00 per uniform, which is a really good deal. Here are dry cleaning instructions for the uniform: Do not take your garment bag to the cleaners. Only wash the sash at the end of the year (unless there is a stain on it). Do not take in the shako. You must take off the shoulder cords before going to the dry cleaners. Please put your uniform back together before bringing it in. If you did not have your uniform dry cleaned, you can bring your uniform on one of the turn-in dates with $20 and we will have it dry cleaned for you. Uniforms will only be accepted on those 2 dates. Failure to turn the uniform in may result in not having a uniform for next year. If you have any questions or concerns, please ask. More information Basketball Games - The Jazz Band performs at four regular season basketball games and all home playoff games. The games start at 6:00pm with call time at 5:30pm. The game is about an hour and a half long. The Following are the regular season dates: January 6 - Game #1 January 8 - Game #2 January 14 - Game #3 January 23 - Game #4 Booster Meeting (1/7) - Our next booster/parent meeting of the year is on January 7th at 7:00pm. Booster/parent meetings last about an hour. Meetings are held in the band room and all parents who have students in the Band, Drumline, and Guard are invited to attend. Booster meetings are generally held on the first Wednesday of the month. See the schedule below at the bottom of the page. Agenda - (English - Spanish) TUSD District Ensembles - This is an event for all the high school music programs in the Tustin Unified School District to perform a concert. There are TUSD Distict Ensemble Groups, a Concert Band, Orchestra, and Jazz Ensemble. Certain students are recognized for their talent and dedication to music are invited to be a part of one or more ensembles. This is an opportunity for students to learn to cooperate with students from other schools and represent their commitment to our music programs. All dates are listed at the bottom of this page. The concert is on January 29th at 7:00pm at the Beckman High School Performing Arts Center. |
