Donation Campaign (9/1) - The students will be participating in an online donation campaign. Students will be asking family and friends to make donations. More information will come out as we get closer.
Homecoming Assembly (9/10) - The Band students will be playing at this assembly. his will take place during 4th period. Students must wear their red member shirt for the assembly. Home Football Game (9/10) - The call time is 6:00pm. The game starts at 7:00pm and should be over by around 9:30pm. Tonight is homecoming. We will be performing at pregame. Dry Mix Day (9/19) - Parents can participate to help make the mix for the funnel cakes on September 19th. The mix will be used for the funnel cake fundraiser on Tiller Days. We will need around 12 parents to participate on this day. We will start at 10:30am and will finish around 12:00pm. If you are able to help, please email Mr. Fisk. Sign-ups Restaurant Night (9/24) - Join us at Yogurtland on September 24th all day for a delicious dessert night out that also helps support the Tustin High School Instrumental Music Program. A portion of your purchase will be donated back to our music program, helping provide our students with the resources, experiences, and opportunities they need to continue making great music. Check out the flyer for all the details. We hope to see you there! Flyer Tiller Days Fundraiser (10/2-10/4) - During Tiller Days we sell funnel cakes and deep fried Twinkies. We make over $6,000 on this weekend alone. We need parent and student help to make this weekend successful. The students will sign up at school. We have specific jobs to sign up for. I have put the job descriptions below. When you are signing up please email me the shifts and the jobs you would like. I will let you know if I signed you up or if the shift is full. Lower on this page is the Sign-ups. When I add you it will automatically show up on this page Parent Sign Ups Student Sign Ups Coordinator – The coordinator job is the go to person at the event at that time. This job is for parents who have participated at Tiller Days in the past. You will be given a checklist for your shift which will help you. We will also have a meeting the week before Tiller Days will all coordinators. Cashier – The cashier will be responsible for taking the orders. You will be dealing directly with customers. Cooker – The cooker will be cooking the funnel cakes. If you have never cooked funnel cakes you will be able to learn (they are not that hard). The Coordinator will be there to help you get started. Buy Eggs/Milk – We need a parent to buy the milk and/or eggs each day and bring them to the fundraising site. You will have to buy them but will be reimbursed the next week, Just save the receipt. Wash Aprons – We need a parent to take home the aprons every night and wash them. You will need to pick them up that night and bring them back the next day. Wash Dishes – We need a parent to take home the dishes every night and wash them. You will need to pick them up that night and bring them back the next day. Tiller Days Parade (10/3) - This year the parade is on Saturday, October 3rd. We do not know the order of the parade until the morning of, however, I believe that we are last. The itinerary will be posted in middle September. Booster Meeting (10/7) - Our next booster/parent meeting of the year is on October 7th at 7:00pm. Booster/parent meetings last about an hour. Meetings are held in the band room and all parents who have students in the Marching Band and Colorguard are invited to attend. Booster meetings are generally held on the first Wednesday of the month. See the schedule below at the bottom of the page. Agenda - (English - Spanish) Marching Band Competition (10/17) - Our first field competition is at Ramona High School on October 17th. The schedule should be out about 3 weeks before the competition. Stay Tuned. Band and Orchestra Picture Day (10/20) - We will have our annual picture day on Tuesday, October 20th during class. Orchestra will take their picture during 3rd period and band and guard will take their picture during 4th period (Colorguard will be excused from class). Orchestra needs to wear their concert black. Band will be wearing their uniforms without their shakos and guard will be in their parade uniforms. All students need to be in the picture, but purchasing pictures is optional. Marching Band Competition (10/24) - Our next field competition is at Ramona High School on October 24th. The schedule should be out about 3 weeks before the competition. Stay Tuned. Home Football Game (10/29) - Our next home football game is October 29th, and it will be a very special evening for the Tustin High School Instrumental Music Program. Student Call Time will be 6:00pm in the Band Room. The game will start at 7:00pm and will end around 9:30pm. That evening, we are excited to welcome students from Sycamore Magnet Academy and Utt Middle School. The junior high students will join us in the stands, giving them the opportunity to experience what it’s like to be part of the high school music program. We will also be celebrating Senior Night and honoring our incredible Marching Band seniors. This will be a wonderful opportunity to recognize their hard work, dedication, leadership, and contributions to our program. We look forward to celebrating with our students, families, and visiting junior high musicians on October 29th. |
