Winterguard What is Winterguard? Winterguard is an extension of Colorguard, although this time they preform without the band. They compete against other school in their division based off of the execution of their skills with flag, sabre, rifle, dance, and performance. What are the rehearsals like? Rehearsals are usually afterschool for around three hours. They are always focused and full of fun for the members while they work as a team to put on a performance. The calendar will be posted every year around October. What are the competitions? Winterguard competes in the WGASC circuit, and performs at five competitions during the spring, including Championships. Is the class period mandatory? Yes, the class period during the day is mandatory in order to give the members a chance to practice and sharpen their skill. It also takes care of your applied art credits as well as elective credits. |
